Getting Started with Canvas
Depending on the modality in which you teach, Canvas can be a big part of your teaching.
Live Virtual / Fully Online:
If you will be teaching a Live Virtual or fully Online course, you will receive specialized training. Your department should notify you about this training.
WebNet+:
If you are teaching a WebNet+ course, there is a module in the Knowledge Center that will provide training on using the tools of Canvas and Zoom in this unique modality.
On-ground / Face-to-face:
If you are teaching an on-ground, face-to-face, here are a few suggestions for getting started with using Canvas, all within the Knowledge Center:
Canvas training - Includes information about adding content, communicating, assignments, using the GradeBook and more.
Plan, Create, Teach - This module takes you from your teaching ideas to your teaching practices, all while using the tools of Canvas.
Software for All Modalities:
There are several pieces of software that are integrated into Canvas. Each has a module in the Knowledge Center.
